Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.
God provided me with a very exciting and blessed birthday yesterday. My husband came home from the hospital. My self-purchased birthday present was in my mailbox. I made several people smile while trying to figure out if I was sane. Our truck repair was finished. I got to spend time with my mommy. The weather was beautiful. I got a birthday video from my youngest granddaughter. I got to pass out multiple hugs. Now the best part … today is birthday present smiles 2.0.
Today is starting off with a smooth and fresh cup of coffee. We are well rested from our sound slumber last night. We have an eventful morning. Surprises. Breakfast. Glasses. Bloodwork. Home to rest and see what the world has to offer for the afternoon … probably a nap. I am getting older, ya know.
I have spoken a lot about choosing to see His light instead of the dark. Choosing to see the blessings instead of the hurt. Choosing peace over chaos. Both in these written posts and videos. One thing that I would like to convey to you is that the enemy will use my testimony to keep you from finding all those things in your life. That’s right. Everything that I am sharing with you, everything that I am showing you through example, everything that God lays on my heart to write … the enemy will make logical counterparts to block your way to this peace … if you let him. All his arguments will show you that you cannot have this peace because you do not have your act together. That I must be a real drag and no fun if I have this much peace because God is nothing but rules and demands. I don’t have any troubles in my life; that is why I am at peace. All potentially sound arguments …all false.
Trust me when I say … I am far from having all my stuff together. I am a walking trainwreck waiting to happen. I do like rules and guidance, but they do not define me. A happy heart and joyful spirit define me. I totally like to have fun and watch people question my sanity. If my antics will bring a smile to your face, then my job was successful. As far as trouble in my life, go back to the first paragraph where I said my husband was released from the hospital and my car was repaired. Those two little things right there happened at the same time. The truck was put into the shop on Friday and I did not get it back until yesterday. We only have one insured and working vehicle right now. I had to borrow my mother’s car to do my event, then keep it longer than I had asked because my husband had been admitted to the hospital, thus leaving her without a vehicle. I will add to that list: last night we had to search for someone to check his sugars because his meter went missing (it was found right before bed). My life is not without troubles and aggravations; I just do not allow the enemy to gain a foothold on any of it.
Will you join me on this journey of Love, Peace, Joy, Grace, and Mercy? Will you take your troubles and aggravations and give thanks to the Father for them and tell the enemy to kick rocks with me? Will you take your darkness and trade it for Light? Today is the perfect day for you to start. Put on the Armor of God. Pull out the umbrella of Psalm 91. Know that your leader comes from Psalm 23. And live by Proverbs 3:5 and Matthew 6:33. I would be such a horrible person if I didn’t.
Be blessed.
**Raise a banner on a hilltop, shout to them; beckon them to enter the gates of the nobles. I have commanded my holy ones; I have summoned my warriors to carry out my wrath—those who rejoice in my triumph. – Isaiah 13:2-3
