UNDERSTANDING THE DEMANDS OF PREVAILING PRAYER (4)
"And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight." (Mark 10:51)
Be Specific
A lot of times we approach the prayer altar with a cluttered mind and undefined expectations.
But we must understand that God responds to the specific demands of His people.
Throughout the Scriptures, God's responses were to the desperate and specific requests of men.
"I will not let thee go, except thou bless me." - Jacob
"Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed..." - Jabez
"Lord, that I might receive my sight." - Bartimaeus
"Give me now wisdom and knowledge..." - Solomon
"Avenge me of mine adversary." - The widow
Also, when Jesus taught His disciples on the potency of the prayer of faith, He showed them how to address issues in specific terms:
"...Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea..." — Mark 11:23.
Friends, do away with endless stories. Be specific every time you stand in the place of prayer.
Our father and mentor calls it "the mystery of one-line prayer."
Henceforth, your specific requests shall receive Heaven's attention, and your petitions shall be granted in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
Declare This:
I approach God with faith, clarity, and confidence. My prayers are specific, scriptural, and effective. As I make my requests known unto God, I receive speedy answers and undeniable testimonies, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Additional Scriptures:
Mark 10:51
Mark 11:23–24
Philippians 4:6
James 1:5
