UNDERSTANDING THE DEMANDS OF PREVAILING PRAYER (6)

"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." (Mark 11:24)

Pray in Faith

Among other things, unbelief is a major hindrance to receiving answers to prayer.

Apostle James, a man who, according to church history, was devoted to prayer, gave a clear instruction on how we should approach the altar of prayer:

James 1:6: "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering..."

Jesus also affirmed this truth when His disciples were amazed at His command that caused the fig tree to wither from its roots:

"And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." — Mark 11:22–23 (KJV)

Faith is the hand that receives what God's grace has provided. Prayer without faith is only a religious exercise, but prayer offered in faith always attracts God's response.

When your faith says "Yes," God will not say "No."

Declare This:

I pray in faith, without doubting. I believe God's Word, and I receive every promise He has made concerning my life. Every mountain before me is removed, every impossibility becomes possible, and I walk in answered prayers, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Additional Scriptures:

James 1:6–8Mark 11:22–24Hebrews 11:6Matthew 21:22
