Small Faith, Big God!

"And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you." — Matthew 17:20 (KJV)

Thought Of The Day...
One of the greatest misconceptions about faith is that God requires us to have "giant faith" before He will work in our lives. Jesus teaches the exact opposite. He didn't say we needed faith the size of a mountain—He said faith the size of a mustard seed.
The power is not found in the size of our faith but in the greatness of the God in whom we place our faith.
The disciples had witnessed miracles and had previously cast out demons, yet they failed in this moment. When they asked Jesus why, He pointed to one thing: unbelief. Their failure was not because they lacked authority but because they lacked complete trust in God's power.
Many of us face mountains that seem impossible to move. Some mountains are sickness, grief, financial hardship, broken relationships, addiction, fear, anxiety, or unanswered prayers. These obstacles often appear larger than our faith. Yet Jesus reminds us that mountains are not moved by human strength—they are moved by faith that trusts God completely.
Mustard seed faith does not deny the existence of the mountain. It simply declares that God is greater than the mountain.
Jesus also reminds us that some breakthroughs require prayer and fasting. Prayer deepens our relationship with God, and fasting humbles our hearts and strengthens our dependence upon Him. As we draw closer to Him, our faith grows stronger, our spiritual vision becomes clearer, and our confidence shifts from ourselves to Christ.
Never underestimate what God can do through a heart that fully trusts Him. A small seed planted in fertile soil grows into something far greater than anyone imagined. In the same way, God can take your small act of faith and produce extraordinary miracles for His glory.
Today, stop measuring your faith by its size. Measure your faith by the greatness of your God. Speak to your mountain. Trust His promises. Keep praying. Keep fasting. Keep believing.
The God who moved mountains in Scripture is still moving mountains today.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding me that You are not looking for perfect faith, but for a heart that trusts You completely. Forgive me for every moment of doubt, fear, and unbelief. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus instead of the mountains before me.
Lord, strengthen my faith through Your Word, through prayer, and through times of fasting. Give me the courage to speak Your promises over every obstacle I face. I believe that nothing is impossible for You, and I trust that You are working even when I cannot yet see the answer.
Today I surrender every mountain into Your hands. I declare that You are greater than every problem, every fear, every sickness, and every impossibility. Let my mustard seed faith grow into unwavering confidence that brings glory to Your name.

Today I declare that my faith is anchored in Jesus Christ. I will not be ruled by fear or unbelief. My God is greater than every mountain before me. I will pray without ceasing, trust God's promises without wavering, and expect Him to do the impossible. Every obstacle must bow to the authority of Jesus Christ. By faith, I believe my breakthrough is coming, my victory is secure, and my testimony will glorify God. In Jesus' name, Amen.
