Have you ever wondered why a promise in Scripture doesn't seem true in your life?

Sometimes it's because we read the promise but miss the instruction that comes before it.

Today we read about God's peace that surpasses all understanding. But the verse before tells us to be anxious for nothing, to bring everything to God in prayer with thanksgiving... then His peace guards our hearts and minds.

Peace and anxiety can't occupy the same place. So hand your worries to God. Tell Him what's on your heart, thank Him for His faithfulness, and trust Him with the outcome.

Provision is His responsibility. Obedience is ours.

Today, let your requests be made known to God... then receive His peace.

Father, I give every worry to You today. Thank You that You care for me and that I can trust You with every situation. Let Your peace guard my heart and mind as I keep my eyes on You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
