THE POWER OF A PERSONAL ENCOUNTER WITH CHRIST
Scripture Reading:
1 Corinthians 9:1 (AMPC)
"Am I not an apostle (a special messenger)? Am I not free (unrestrained and exempt from any obligation)? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you yourselves not the product and proof of my workmanship in the Lord?"
One of the greatest sources of confidence in the Christian life is a genuine personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. While our faith is firmly established on God's Word, there are moments when the Lord reveals Himself in a deeply personal way that leaves an enduring mark upon our hearts. Such encounters strengthen our conviction, deepen our love for Him, and give us unwavering assurance of His presence.
The Apostle Paul confidently testified that he had seen the Lord Jesus. That encounter became a defining moment in his life and ministry, empowering him to endure hardship and remain faithful to his calling.
By God's grace, I also cherish a personal encounter with the Lord that remains vivid in my heart. I can never forget the day He revealed Himself to me. That experience strengthened my faith and confirmed within me that my life belongs to Him and that He has called me for His divine purpose.
Yet a personal encounter with Christ does not mean a believer will never face challenges or make mistakes. Spiritual maturity is a journey. Though we continue to grow in our daily walk, our confidence rests in the finished work of Christ and in the assurance that He is with us and lives within us by His Spirit.
Whether your journey with Christ began through a dramatic encounter or through a quiet awakening to His grace, what matters most is that you know Him personally and continue to grow in that relationship. As you seek Him through His Word, prayer, and fellowship with the Holy Spirit, your faith will become stronger, your confidence will increase, and your life will increasingly reflect His character.
May your greatest confidence never be in your own strength but in the Lord who has called you, redeemed you, and faithfully walks with you every day.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing Yourself to me through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Deepen my relationship with You and strengthen my faith as I continue to seek Your presence. Let my life be shaped by Your Word, guided by Your Spirit, and filled with the assurance that You are always with me. May I know You more each day and faithfully fulfill Your purpose for my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
