GROWING IN THE TRUE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

Scripture Reading:
Acts 18:24–26 (KJV)
"And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus. This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John... And when Aquila and Priscilla had heard him, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly."

It is possible to know about God without truly knowing Him. A person may possess biblical knowledge, speak eloquently about spiritual matters, and yet still have an incomplete understanding of God's truth. This was the experience of Apollos. Although he was mighty in the Scriptures and passionate about teaching, he needed further instruction so that he could understand and communicate the way of God more accurately.

The Christian life is a continuous journey of spiritual growth. We should never become so confident in what we know that we stop learning from God's Word or refuse correction. Genuine humility welcomes greater revelation and seeks a deeper understanding of the truth.

True knowledge of God is revealed not only in what we say but also in how we live. A life transformed by God's truth reflects His character through humility, peace, wisdom, love, and spiritual maturity. When we know Him accurately, our words, attitudes, and decisions increasingly resemble Christ.

The Scriptures remind us:

Acts 18:26 (AMPC)
"He began to speak freely (fearlessly and boldly) in the synagogue; but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him with them and expounded to him the way of God more definitely and accurately."

Allow the Holy Spirit to continually teach you through the Scriptures. Remain open to correction, committed to truth, and eager to grow in your relationship with God. The more accurately you know Him, the more faithfully you will represent Him to the world.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing Yourself through Your Word. Grant me a humble and teachable heart that continually desires to know You more deeply and accurately. Let Your truth transform my character, guide my decisions, and shape my life so that I may faithfully reflect Christ in all I do. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Bible Reading:
Job 42:1–5; Isaiah 1:1–5

Wisdom Capsule:
Proverbs 3:12 (MSG)
"It's the child He loves that God corrects; a father's delight is behind all this."
