SEEK CHRIST FIRST IN EVERY CHALLENGE
Scripture Reading:
1 Corinthians 11:3 (AMPC)
"But I want you to know and realize that Christ is the Head of every man, the head of a woman is her husband, and the Head of Christ is God."
God established order in the family to promote love, unity, and mutual care. When His design is honored, relationships flourish; when it is ignored, unnecessary conflict and confusion often follow.
In marriage, seasons may come when one spouse appears stronger than the other financially, emotionally, or professionally. However, temporary circumstances should never become an excuse to dominate, manipulate, or disregard the biblical principles of love, honor, and mutual submission to Christ. Marriage is a covenant built on service, respect, and partnership—not competition for control.
When disagreements or disappointments arise, it is tempting to seek sympathy from friends, relatives, or others before seeking God's direction. While there are times when wise, trusted counsel is appropriate, our first response should be to bring our burdens before the Lord in prayer. Christ, who is the Head of every man and the Lord of every home, is able to guide, convict, restore, and transform hearts in ways that human opinion cannot.
Before speaking about your spouse to others, take the matter to God. Pray with faith, ask for wisdom, and trust Him to work in both your heart and your spouse's heart. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide your words, attitudes, and actions. Many conflicts are resolved more effectively when they are surrendered to Christ rather than fueled by public complaints or uncontrolled emotions.
Let your home be built on prayer, humility, forgiveness, and unwavering confidence in God's wisdom. As you submit your challenges to Him, He will lead you in the path of peace and strengthen your marriage according to His perfect will.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the wisdom found in Your Word. Teach me to honor Your design for my home and to seek You first in every challenge I face. Fill my heart with humility, patience, and love, and help me to trust You to work in every situation. May my marriage and my family reflect Your peace, Your order, and Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Bible Reading:
Psalm 1:1–3; Jeremiah 17:17–19
Wisdom Capsule:
Proverbs 3:14 (MSG)
"She's worth far more than money in the bank; her friendship is better than a big salary."
