LIVING UNDER THE LORDSHIP OF CHRIST

Scripture Reading:
Matthew 10:1, 7 (KJV)
"And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease."

"And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand."

Many believers understand Christianity primarily through the lens of church attendance, denomination, or religious activity. However, the message of Jesus was centered on the Kingdom of God. He came to reveal God's rule, God's government, and God's will to humanity.

When we receive Jesus Christ, we do not merely join a religious organization. We become citizens of God's Kingdom. We come under the authority of a King, and that King is Jesus Christ.

This understanding should transform the way we think and live. Instead of allowing denominational identity to become more important than our identity in Christ, we should recognize that we belong to one Kingdom and serve one Lord. Our greatest allegiance is not to a label, but to Jesus Christ.

A kingdom has a King, and the citizens of that kingdom acknowledge the King's authority. Therefore, thinking Kingdom means recognizing the Lordship of Christ in every area of life. It means allowing His Word to guide our choices, His character to shape our conduct, and His will to direct our priorities.

When Christ is truly Lord, obedience is no longer merely an obligation—it becomes the natural response of a heart that recognizes His authority. The fear of the Lord brings wisdom, humility, and a desire to live in a way that honors the King.

Today, shift your focus from merely thinking about church to understanding the Kingdom. You are a citizen of God's Kingdom, and your life should reflect the values, character, and government of your King.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for making me a citizen of Your Kingdom through Jesus Christ. I acknowledge Jesus as my Lord and King. I surrender my thoughts, decisions, ambitions, and entire life to His authority. Help me to live according to the values of Your Kingdom and to faithfully represent Christ wherever I go. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Bible Reading:
Colossians 1:1–9; Ephesians 1:15–21

Wisdom Capsule:
Proverbs 16:3 (MSG)
"Put God in charge of your work, then what you've planned will take place."
