Saturday Morning Prayer
"This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." — Psalm 118:24 (KJV)
Heavenly Father,
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we come before Your throne of grace on this blessed Saturday morning with hearts full of thanksgiving. Thank You for waking us up, clothing us in our right minds, and allowing us to see another day that You have made. We do not take Your mercy for granted, for "it is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning."(Lamentations 3:22-23, KJV).
Lord, today we surrender every burden, every fear, every disappointment, and every unanswered prayer into Your hands. We declare that You are our refuge, our strength, and our very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1). We trust You even when we cannot trace You, because Your plans for us are good and not evil.
Father, search our hearts and forgive us of every sin, every careless word, every wrong attitude, and every act of disobedience. Wash us thoroughly in the precious blood of Jesus and create within us a clean heart. (Psalm 51:10). Fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit so that our thoughts, words, and actions will bring glory to Your name.
Lord, guide our steps today according to Your Word. "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD."(Psalm 37:23). Keep us from every accident, every attack of the enemy, every sickness, every temptation, and every evil assignment. Cover us, our families, our homes, our churches, our communities, and our workplaces with the precious blood of Jesus.
Father, strengthen those who are weary. Encourage those who are discouraged. Heal those who are sick in their bodies, minds, and spirits. Your Word declares, "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds," declares the LORD.(Jeremiah 30:17). Let Your healing power flow into every home and every hospital room today. Bring peace where there is anxiety, hope where there is despair, and joy where there has been mourning.
Lord, bless the work of our hands. Open doors that no one can shut and close every door that is not Your will for our lives. Give us wisdom to make godly decisions, favor with those we encounter, and courage to obey Your voice. "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart... and he shall direct thy paths."(Proverbs 3:5-6).
We pray for our families today. Save the unsaved, restore the backslider, strengthen marriages, protect our children and grandchildren, and let Your love reign in every home. Break every chain of addiction, depression, fear, bitterness, and unbelief. Let every stronghold be destroyed by the power of Jesus Christ.
Father, teach us to walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7). Help us to remember that no problem is greater than Your power, no mountain is higher than Your strength, and no situation is beyond Your ability to change. We declare that "with God all things are possible."(Matthew 19:26).
Today we choose joy over sadness, faith over fear, peace over worry, and praise over complaining. We believe that You are already working behind the scenes on our behalf. We stand on the promise that "all things work together for good to them that love God."(Romans 8:28).
Lord, let Your light shine through us today. Make us instruments of Your peace, vessels of Your love, and witnesses of Your grace. Help us to encourage someone, pray for someone, and reflect the character of Christ wherever we go.
We end this prayer with confidence, declaring Your Word:
"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us."(Ephesians 3:20, KJV).
We thank You because victory belongs to You. We thank You because You have gone before us. We thank You because this Saturday will be filled with Your goodness, mercy, favor, protection, provision, and peace.
We receive every blessing You have prepared for us today.
