Scripture:
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6 (ESV)
Every day we are faced with decisions. Some are small, while others shape the direction of our lives. Our natural tendency is to depend upon our own wisdom, experience, or feelings. Yet God’s Word lovingly reminds us that the safest place for every believer is complete trust in the Lord.
To trust God does not mean we understand everything He is doing. It means we believe His character is perfect, His wisdom is infinite, and His plans are always good for those who belong to Him. Often, God leads us one step at a time so that our faith grows stronger as we learn to depend upon Him rather than ourselves.
When life is uncertain, remember that Jesus Christ is never uncertain. He knows the end from the beginning. He has never made a mistake, and He never will. The cross and the empty tomb are eternal reminders that God always keeps His promises.
Today, surrender your plans to the Lord. Bring Him your joys, your burdens, your fears, and your hopes. Ask Him to direct your steps, and then walk forward in faithful obedience, trusting that He is leading you according to His perfect will.
As followers of Christ, we are not called to walk by sight but by faith. The God who saved us is the same God who guides us every day.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, teach us to trust You with all our hearts. Forgive us for relying upon our own understanding. Help us to acknowledge You in every decision we make, so that our lives may bring glory to Your holy name. Strengthen our faith, keep us faithful to Your Word, and help us to walk confidently wherever You lead. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Thought for Today:
God’s guidance is always perfect because God’s character is always perfect. Trust Him completely.
