"I want to ask a serious question. Who can actually tell me what the preaching was about today? So many of us both Christians and non-Christians go to church simply because it’s a culture, a tradition, or a religious routine. We do it to check a box because our friends and family are doing it.
But here is my real question: Who is actually a new creation? Who has truly experienced Jesus? Whose life has been transformed? Who has given up their old self for a new identity in Christ? Who has had a spiritual 'heart operation' where their sin was exposed and cut away?
If you aren't changed, it’s not true church it’s just a routine. It’s like going to work just to clock in. It's like going to a hospital sick, but leaving just as sick (or worse) because nothing was actually treated.
I’m not saying don't go to church. I’m saying we need to pray that God’s will be done. God’s kingdom is not built on entertainment programs or membership numbers; it is built on discipleship. You don’t go to a restaurant just to look at the building or the people; you go to eat and get full.
Too many people think, 'It’s okay, God is all grace and mercy.' But while a restaurant can run out of food and a hospital can run out of medicine, we forget that God's patience has a day of completion. When Jesus returns, He is coming back as a righteous Judge to make war against sin. Judgment starts at the house of God first. It will be far worse for those of us who knew the truth but chose to live a lie. The scripture warns that God's people perish for a lack of knowledge, and generations follow in that destruction when we push His truth away.
Let’s stop playing church. Let’s lay our lives down, take up our cross, and follow Him for real."
