UNDERSTANDING THE DEMANDS OF PREVAILING PRAYER (8)

"One day Zechariah's group of priests were on duty, and he was serving God as a priest. According to the custom of the priests, he had been chosen to go into the Lord's temple that day and to burn incense." - Luke 1:8–9 (CEV)

Kingdom Service

How do you handle the responsibilities committed into your hands?

Your service in your local church or fellowship is ultimately service unto God. Therefore, do not serve reluctantly or carelessly. Serve the Lord fervently and wholeheartedly.

For many years, Zechariah and Elizabeth waited on God for the fulfilment of His promise. Yet, despite their personal needs, they remained faithful in meeting the needs of God's Kingdom.

We must understand that while praying for our personal needs entitles us to answers, praying for the advancement of God's Kingdom positions us for divine rewards.

Someone may ask, "How can I serve God through prayer?"

The answer is simple. Pray for:
- Souls to be saved and established in the faith and in a local assembly of believers.
- The needs of fellow believers.
- Ministers of the Gospel.
- The free course and increase of God's Word in every service and gathering.
- The continual advancement of God's Kingdom on the earth.

Whatever the challenge or the magnitude of your personal need, make Kingdom advancement your priority.

What you make happens for others, God will make it happen for you.

When we favour His righteous cause, He fills our lives with gladness and reward.

Henceforth, may your prayers receive speedy answers, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

Declare This:
I am committed to serving God's Kingdom with joy and faithfulness. I pray for the salvation of souls, the growth of the Church, and the success of the Gospel. As I seek first God's Kingdom, every need in my life is divinely supplied, and my prayers receive speedy answers, in Jesus' name. Amen.
