DailyWord From Scriptures With PMA Tuesday 21st July, 2026 UNDERSTANDING DIVINE LEADING (2) "The Spirit itself (Himself) bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God." (Romans 8:16) God communicates with His children primarily through their regenerated human spirit. Nowhere in Scripture does God promise to lead us through our intellect, emotions, or physical senses. Proverbs 20:27 declares: "The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly." Notice that it is the spirit of man, not the mind or the body that God enlightens and guides. The Holy Spirit bears witness with our regenerated spirit. His leading comes as an inward witness, a quiet conviction, or a gentle prompting within our hearts; not merely through our feelings or reasoning. Many times, because of religious traditions or a lack of understanding, people say, "Something told me," or "I just had a feeling." In reality, when it is consistent with God's Word, it is often the Holy Spirit bearing witness with our spirit. To walk effectively in divine guidance, we must remain conscious of our true identity. Man is essentially a spirit; he has a soul and lives in a body. At salvation, your spirit was recreated to fellowship with the Holy Spirit. As you grow in God's Word and maintain communion with Him, you become increasingly sensitive to His leading. God will continually direct your life by communicating with your regenerated spirit through His Holy Spirit. Declare This: I am a child of God, and I am led by His Spirit. My regenerated spirit is sensitive to the inward witness of the Holy Spirit. I discern His voice clearly, walk confidently in His guidance, and never miss His direction for my life, in Jesus' name.
