Our sun is a G-type main sequence star. This class of star makes it perfect for supporting life on this planet. This is because this class of star is mainly stable so it’s fluctuations are not bad enough to destroy life on this planet. Also, the type of star determines the habital zone (distance a planet has to be from the star and be able to support life). We are just the right distance away from it? It's not a coincidence.
THE MOON.....
As the moon orbits our planet it pulls upon the crust of the earth, and also our oceans. it is what causes the tides to rise and fall. This cleans out our rivers and streams. Without such circulation of our waters, our water would become to polluted to support life, or even drink. Also, if the moon is too close to our planet, it would pull upon the earth’s crust to much and cause severe earth quakes every time it orbits our planet. And the tides would be to high making the more of the land mass unlivable, not to mention the shoreline erosion which would take most of the land mass into the sea.
