What do we do with the American divide amongst churches? In 2 Corinthians 9, the church of Macedonia being ready with the church of Achaia, to give to the Corinthian church shows that they were readied, giving one to the other by grace's sufficiency it came, and by grace's sufficiency we also give and continuing in unity of the truth.
If we be combative, we are not positioned for the light in the body of the Lord, but for the darkness of the old man given way to the flesh. If we should say that our old man is belonging, we are given over to corruption and having gone the wrong way, to many strides at length, one may depart from the journey into a slime pit and miss becoming the new man.
If such a thing should occur, we ought to mark great divisions, not to set loss by debates which some may pursue with unsoundness and there may be a departure from grace, blinded even by the law. Now the new man is complete, lacking nothing; for he is ever a receiver, and unity is sown at every advancement, at every point in-between.
The good ground is truly for the new man, and the fertility is not lacking, but spiritually nurturing in every wit; for he that is spiritual by the Spirit will truly taste of the fruit of the Spirit. The governing of truth cometh in the developed one of Christ, and the fruit is becoming of the man's character in godly maturity; for he is new.
