Have you noticed how chasing the things of this world never seems to satisfy?

Jesus tells us why.

He says not to worry about our lives—what we'll eat, drink, or wear. Look at the birds. They don't sow or reap, yet the Father feeds them. Look at the lilies. They don't strive, yet God clothes them more beautifully than Solomon.

Then Jesus makes a powerful statement: the Gentiles chase after these things. In other words, that's how people who don't know God live.

But not you.

You’re called to something different: seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Added. Not earned.

Do you trust Jesus enough to live that way?

The world says, "Put yourself first." Jesus says, "Follow Me first."

Who will you believe today?

Father, thank You that You know exactly what I need. Forgive me for chasing what You've already promised to provide. Help me to seek Your Kingdom first, trust You completely, and leave the rest in Your hands. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
