Kingdom Carriers | Becoming Before Receiving We often pray for God to change our circumstances. A better opportunity.A new season. An answered prayer. And there's nothing wrong with bringing those requests before Him. But I've been wondering if God is sometimes doing something even greater. Before He changes our circumstances, He often changes us. He teaches us patience while we're waiting. He builds our faith when the answers don't come quickly. He shapes our character through ordinary acts of obedience. Looking back, some of the greatest work God has done in my life wasn't around me, it was within me. The waiting wasn't wasted. The delays weren't empty. They became the workshop where God was quietly shaping my heart. Perhaps that's why the Kingdom grows differently from the world. The world focuses on what we achieve. The Kingdom focuses on who we are becoming. Maybe today, instead of asking, "Lord, when will my circumstances change?" we could also ask, "Lord, who are You shaping me to become?"
