“I WILL” — GOD’S PROMISES FOR EVERY DAY
I WILL SAVE EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON ME
Romans 10:13 (LLV) —
“Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.”
“Everyone.”
There are no people
too distant.
No lives
too broken.
No pasts
too stained.
No hearts
too far away
for the grace
of God.
“Who calls…”
Salvation begins
with recognizing
that we cannot
save ourselves.
We may try
to become better.
To repair
what we have broken.
To carry
the weight
of our guilt.
But salvation
is not earned
through human effort.
It is received
by faith.
“To call upon
the name
of the Lord”
is more
than speaking
a few words.
It is turning
toward Jesus
with trust.
It is admitting
our need.
Believing
that He died
and rose again.
Placing
our entire hope
in Him.
“Will be saved.”
Not perhaps.
Not only
after we prove
ourselves worthy.
God gives
a clear promise.
The person
who sincerely
calls upon Christ
will not
be turned away.
Jesus receives
the weary.
The ashamed.
The uncertain.
The person
who has wandered
for many years.
The person
who has only now
begun to understand.
His grace
is greater
than every failure.
His sacrifice
is sufficient
for every sin.
His invitation
is open
to everyone.
Throughout
this series,
God has promised:
“I will strengthen you.”
“I will give you rest.”
“I will be with you.”
“I will make you.”
“I will give you
a new heart.”
“I will complete
what I began.”
“I will hold you
securely.”
But before
we can experience
the fullness
of those promises,
we must respond
to this invitation—
to call upon
the name
of the Lord.
Here,
every new beginning
truly begins.
A new beginning receives salvation here:
believing that no one who sincerely calls upon Jesus will ever be rejected, because His promise is certain: “You will be saved.”
Reflection: Have I merely known about Jesus, or have I personally called upon Him and placed my trust in His saving grace?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I know that I cannot save myself. I call upon You and place my trust in what You have done for me. Forgive my sins, make me new, and lead me in Your ways. Thank You for Your promise that everyone who calls upon Your name will be saved. Help me live each day with gratitude for the grace You have freely given. Amen.
