Love is more than a feeling—it is shown through action.

Jesus demonstrated a love that went far beyond words. He didn’t love us because we deserved it, but because He chose to, even to the point of laying down His life for us.

That is the love we are called to imitate.

It’s easy to love when life is good, but much harder to stand with someone in their adversity. Yet that is exactly what we’re called to do. Real love doesn’t ask, “What have they done for me?” It asks, “How can I serve them?”

Think about the people who stood by you in hard seasons and thank God for them. Also remember those who weren’t there, and pray for them too.

Then ask the Lord if someone in adversity today needs you to be that kind of brother or sister. Let your love become action, just as Christ’s love became action for you.

Father, thank You for Your perfect love. Help me to love others as Jesus loves me. Show me who needs encouragement today and give me the courage to act. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
