5 Prayers I'm Praying Over My Future Husband

I used to think praying for my future husband was something I'd get to eventually. Now I think it might be one of the most important things I do for my future.

Because a partner isn't a small choice. It's one of the biggest decisions of my whole life, who I build a home with, raise children with, grow old with. So I stopped leaving it to chance, and started praying on purpose.

I'm not praying for just anyone. I'm praying for a mighty man of God.

A man whose strength isn't loud but steady, who leads with faith instead of fear, who chases God harder than he chases success. (Joshua 1:9, Ephesians 6:16)

I'm praying he becomes everything he's capable of, respected, influential, a voice that matters in his generation, because God didn't create him to shrink. (Proverbs 31:23)

I'm praying over his health, his mind, his future, that he's covered and protected, strong for the life ahead of him. (3 John 1:2, Isaiah 53:5)

I'm praying his friendships pull him closer to God, not further from Him. (Psalms 1:1, Proverbs 13:20)

And I'm praying that whatever he's looking for, he finds it in what we build together. Not somewhere else. Not in someone else. (Proverbs 5:15)

I don't know his name yet. I don't know where he is right now, what he's walking through, or how far away he still is. But I believe God is already shaping him, the same way God is shaping me.

So today, wherever he is, I'm praying for him.

If you're waiting too, pray for yours by name, even if you don't know it yet.
