In the ancient Book of Jasher, cited as history twice in the Old Testament, it is declared that Shem, Noah’s son, was Melchizedek. Also, it says that Abraham lived with Noah’s family for a season as a refugee from the evil designs of the Babylonians. It is amazing to consider that Noah talked with Adam and that Shem, obviously, talked with Noah. Abraham, then, even though removed from the event by eleven generations, would have experienced a firsthand account of God’s salvation in Noah’s family. (Book of Jasher)
