We see pride as being arrogant and boastful, but the truth is, pride is a form of fear.
It’s a fear that leads us to hiding who we really are. It’s a fear of vulnerability. It’s a stronghold from the enemy, that we use to protect us from being vulnerable, and the lie associated with that is, that you will appear weak and unaccepted. The problem is, the Father won’t let that stronghold stand. He has ways of tearing it down, because your vulnerability is really a strength. It’s something the Father desires for us, because He is able to reveal Himself and show His strength through us.
It allows us to live in the freedom of who we were created to be. It allows you to truly walk in love, to show mercy and give grace to others, because being vulnerable allows you to be humble.

“Your boast becomes a prophecy of a future failure. The higher you lift yourself up in pride, the harder you’ll fall in disgrace.” (Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭18‬ ‭TPT‬‬)

“But he continues to pour out more and more grace upon us. For it says, “God resists you when you are proud but continually pours out grace when you are humble.”” (James 4‬:‭6‬ ‭TPT‬‬)
