THE DIVINE CONDUIT

Among the spiritual resources of the Holy Spirit to followers of Christ is this revelation of Jesus – “When He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth, for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come…He shall take of Mine, and shall disclose it to you.” (John 16:13-14).

I sometimes refer to this communication process as the “Divine Conduit.” Truth originates with God the Father, is given by Him to Christ the Son, who reveals it to the Holy Spirit, who then discloses truth to followers of Christ Jesus. The conduit through which this truth flows is God’s Word, the Bible, – “God’s Word is truth.” (John 17:17).

Insightfully interesting to me is one of the truths Jesus specifies that flows through this divine conduit: “what is to come.” Many people today despise prophetic teaching, labeling it “gloom & doom” rhetoric. Yet, Jesus declared that things which are “to come” are among the many truths revealed by God to believers through Christ and His Holy Spirit. That should signal to us the importance God places on prophecy.

To sequester Biblical teaching about prophetic events is squeezing a kink in that conduit for yourselves and others – “Do not quench the Spirit; do not despise prophetic utterances.” (I Thessalonians 5:19-20).

Why do I write and preach about prophetic things to come? Those things include seven horrific years of unprecedented global pestilence, disease, earthquakes, oppression, massive death, planetary destruction, and the deluge of evil like the world has never known.

I simply don’t want anyone I love and care about to be left here and have to suffer through those terrifying applications of judgment on the earth. Do you? Then, sound the alarm! Time is running out!

Blessings,
