This name is Power, the name Jesus

Something reminds me today of when I was a small boy. My mother and I were traveling on foot when we came to a stream. We went down to drink because we were very thirsty. Unknown to us, a man who had taken the form of a dragon was waiting to kill one of us. He was hidden from us, both physically and spiritually.

He began throwing what seemed to be spiritual stones at us, but he missed us twice. When he threw the third one, we cried out together in a loud voice, "Jesus!" As we continued calling on the name of Jesus, a mighty wind began to blow through the forest. We saw the bushes bending and folding as though they were sheets of paper. The man in the dragon form cried out in great pain, shouting, "Stop! Stop!"

We did not stop calling on the name of Jesus. Instead, we continued until the man ran out onto the road, fell to the ground, and began confessing his deeds. People gathered around as he admitted that he had killed many people before encountering us.

The name of Jesus caused him to bow and confess. As the Bible says, "At the name of Jesus every knee should bow... and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord" (Philippians 2:10–11). Jesus is not only Lord—He is God Almighty.
