KEY VERSE:``` "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me" (GALATIANS 2:20).
Paul’s testimony is the heartbeat of Calvary — “I am crucified with Christ.” Not I was, but I am. My crucifixion with Him is my present identity. Calvary was not just where Jesus died; it was where I died. The man who loved sin, who sought to save himself, who lived for law and self, died there. “Nevertheless I live.” Same man? No. New life. “Yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.” The Christian life is not imitation; it is incarnation. Christ living His life through you.
Three truths from “I am crucified”: One, Calvary ended my old life. “I am crucified with Christ.” God does not patch the old man; He crucifies him. The Cross is God’s full stop to your past. Two, Calvary began a new life. “Nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.” You do not live for Him in your strength; He lives through you. Three, Calvary is personal love. “Who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Not just for the world — for me. Replace your name there. He loved you and gave Himself for you. The Cross was not mass-produced love; it was personal, particular, passionate.
Stop trying to live and let Him live through you. The same Cross that crucified you will sustain you. Today, live by the faith of the Son of God — not faith in Him only, but His own faithfulness living in you.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You that I am crucified with You. My old man is dead, and You now live in me. Today I yield to Your life within me. Live Your life through me, think through my mind, love through my heart. You loved me and gave Yourself for me — help me to live for You who died for me, in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
May the Lord cause Christ to be seen living in you today. May His life swallow your weakness, may His love fill your heart, and may His Cross keep you from ever returning to what He killed at Calvary, through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen. 🏼
