Keon Campbell on Instagram: "🚨 STOP SCROLLING.
If you don’t understand the difference between the old man, the flesh, and the new man… you’ll spend your Christian life fighting the wrong battle.
Many believers say things like:
“I’m just my old self.”
“My old man is winning.”
“I’m trying to crucify my old man every day.”
But is that actually what the Bible teaches?
Paul never tells believers to crucify the old man.
Why?
Because he says your old man already WAS crucified with Christ.
Your old man is who you were in Adam.
Your flesh is still present, but it is not your identity.
And your new man is who you are in Christ.
When you confuse those three, you’ll constantly identify with someone God says died.
The Christian life isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about believing what Christ already made you.
That’s why Paul says:
“Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:11 KJV
Stop identifying with who you were.
Walk in who Christ made you.
Save this post for your next Bible study and share it with someone who’s struggling to understand Romans 6 and Galatians 5.
