“Tell them bad weather is coming, and they prepare! Tell them JESUS is coming, and they do nothing!”

This quote exposes a tragic reality. People will rush to prepare for a temporary storm, but many neglect to prepare for eternity. They will stock up on food, water, and supplies, yet ignore the salvation that is found only in Jesus Christ.

The Lord Jesus warned us to be ready:

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” — Matthew 24:42 (KJV)

God has given warning after warning through His Word. The signs of the times remind us that Christ's return is drawing near. The greatest preparation is not filling a pantry—it is having a heart that has repented of sin and trusted in Jesus Christ.

The apostle Paul wrote:

“And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” — Romans 13:11 (KJV)

Many dismiss the message of Christ's coming because judgment seems delayed. Yet Scripture says:

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” — 2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)

Do not prepare only for the storms of this life while neglecting the day you will stand before God. Repent of your sins, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, walk in obedience to His Word, and be ready for His appearing.
