Hello, I would like to share with you the message from 2 août 2026 from “The Good Seed” daily calendar.
You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:5)
Holy priests
Every person who turns to God with a confession of their sins and believes in the Saviour Jesus Christ becomes a holy priest. Together with all other believing Christians, he now belongs to the priestly family.
This addresses both the position and the function of Christians before God:
– As holy priests, we are suited to God, who is holy and righteous. Through the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus, we have been made perfect so that we can be boldly in the presence of God.
– As holy priests, we offer spiritual sacrifices to our God and Father. This refers to the worship that rises from our hearts to Him when we honour Him through songs of praise or prayers of thanks.
On Sunday, when we gather for the breaking of bread, we stand together as holy priests before God to worship Him through Jesus Christ. We worship and admire Him as He has revealed Himself in His Son. Especially in the death of the Redeemer, the glorious attributes of God have been manifested. Thus, our worship focuses on the person and work of the Lord Jesus. When we talk about Him and His sacrifice on the cross, we offer spiritual sacrifices to God. How delighted He is with this!
As holy priests, we serve God by worshipping Him – for the Father seeks those who worship Him in spirit and in truth.
Today’s reading: Joshua 8:14-23 – 1 Corinthians 7:1-11
