We all enjoy hearing words that encourage us. Much harder are the words that expose something in us we’d rather not face.

Yet some of the greatest gifts God gives us come through a trusted friend who loves us enough to tell us the truth. If we’ll listen instead of defend ourselves, those hard words can become the beginning of real growth.
