GOD'S WORD FOR THE DAY
“The Yoke of Grace”
Matthew 11:29
“Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
This is the Word of God. Jesus invites us to walk with Him, sharing His burden, shaped by His gentleness. His yoke brings rest by changing how we carry life’s weight.
True spiritual rest is not mere cessation of activity but a reorientation of the heart toward dependence on Christ; when our identity is anchored in Him, our burdens lose their ability to define or destroy us. Learning from Jesus transforms our motives and frees us to serve without being driven by anxiety or achievement.
Today, let's accept Christ’s yoke: trade striving for trust, pride for humility, and find rest for our souls.
May the Lord teach us His gentleness. Amen.
