Daily Bible Lesson.
CLOTHED BY CHRIST: DRESSING FOR ETERNAL SUCCESS.

"I counsel thee to buy of Me... white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed."
Revelation 3:18

Our clothes do more than cover our bodies—they can reflect our values, our respect, and ultimately our relationship with Christ.
Just as astronauts depend on specially designed spacesuits to survive the deadly environment of outer space, every Christian needs the spiritual garments that only Jesus can provide to survive the battle against sin.

The First Clothing in the Bible
After Adam and Eve sinned, they realized they were naked.
Genesis 3:7
They tried to cover themselves with fig leaves, but their own solution quickly failed.
God then made garments of skin and clothed them.
Genesis 3:21
This pointed to a powerful truth:
Only God can truly cover our sin.
Human effort can never replace God's righteousness.

WHY DID GOD GIVE US CLOTHING?

1. To Cover Our Nakedness (Modesty)
Genesis 3:21
God introduced clothing to cover humanity after sin entered the world.
Today, modesty still honors God.
Christians should choose clothing that:
• Covers the body modestly. • Reflects purity. • Avoids drawing attention through immodesty. • Honors God's presence.
Isaiah 6:2–3
Even the holy angels cover themselves before God's throne.

2. To Protect Us
Clothing protects us from:
Cold
Heat
Wind
Rain
Paul requested his cloak while imprisoned.
2 Timothy 4:13, 21
God cares about both our spiritual and physical needs.

3. To Show Respect
Our clothing often reflects our attitude.
Ask yourself:
Would I dress this way before an earthly king?
Then how much more before the King of Kings?
When we worship God, we should present our very best—whatever that may be.
Psalm 96:9
"Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness."

4. To Identify Who We Belong To
Throughout Scripture, clothing identified people.
Joseph's coat identified honor.
David's daughters wore royal garments.
John the Baptist wore simple clothing that reflected his mission.
Genesis 37:3
Mark 1:6
As Christians...
Our appearance should point people toward Christ—not the world.

WHAT SHOULD CHRISTIANS WEAR?
Wear A Smile
Job 9:27
A joyful Christian is one of God's greatest witnesses.
Let people see the joy of Jesus in your life.
Wear The Armor of God
Ephesians 6:11–17
Every believer should daily put on:
Helmet of Salvation
Breastplate of Righteousness
Belt of Truth
Shoes of the Gospel of Peace
Shield of Faith
Sword of the Spirit (God's Word)

Without this armor, we cannot stand against Satan's attacks.
Wear Christ's White Robe
Revelation 3:18
Jesus offers every believer:
Forgiveness
Righteousness
Salvation
Eternal Life
These garments cannot be earned.
They are God's free gift.
Romans 6:23

THE WEDDING GARMENT
Jesus told of a man who attended the wedding feast without wearing the garment provided by the king.
Matthew 22:1–14
Everyone had been given a wedding garment.
One man refused to wear it.
The lesson is clear:
We must be clothed in Christ's righteousness before He returns.

HOW DO WE KEEP OUR ROBES CLEAN?
Revelation 7:14
"They washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
When we come to Jesus:
He justifies us by covering us with His righteousness.
Then...
He sanctifies us by transforming our character every day.
Through His grace, we learn to walk in holiness.

DON'T WAIT TOO LONG
Today...
Jesus still offers forgiveness.
Tomorrow is not guaranteed.
A day is coming when probation will close.
Revelation 22:11
Now is the time to receive Christ's white robe.

FINAL LESSONS
Put on the Armor of God.
Wear the White Robe of Christ.
Walk in Modesty and Holiness.
Let your life reflect Jesus.
Shine as a witness before the world.
Be ready for Christ's soon return.

FINAL APPEAL
Jesus is inviting each one of us today to exchange the filthy garments of sin for His spotless robe of righteousness.

Will you allow Christ to clothe your life with His grace, His holiness, and His salvation?

"Let us be glad and rejoice... for the marriage of the Lamb is come... and to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white."
Revelation 19:7–8
Remember:

The best-dressed Christian is the one clothed in the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
