Proverbs 3:6 (KJV)
"In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
"In all thy ways acknowledge him..." This means to include God in every part of your life, not just on Sundays or when you're in trouble. Before making decisions, ask yourself:
"What would God want me to do?"
Pray about your choices.
Follow what the Bible teaches.
Give Him credit for your blessings.
"...and he shall direct thy paths." When you sincerely seek God and follow Him, He promises to guide your life. That doesn't mean everything will always be easy, but He will help lead you in the right direction, open the right doors, and give you wisdom for the decisions you face.
A simple way to remember it:
"If I make God part of every decision, He will guide me where I need to go."
This verse goes hand in hand with the two verses before it:
Trust God more than your own understanding.
Don't think you know best.
Include God in everything you do.
He will guide your life.
It's a reminder that God's wisdom is more reliable than our own, even when we can't see the whole picture.
