But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel for the uncircumcised had been committed to me, as the gospel for the circumcised was to Peter [8] (for He who worked effectively in Peter for the apostleship to the circumcised also worked effectively in me toward the Gentiles),

Paul explained to the church that God had entrusted different ministry assignments to different people. Peter was called primarily to minister to the Jews, while Paul was called to take the gospel to the Gentiles.
God sovereignly places each believer where they can best fulfill His purpose. He does not merely call us; He also empowers us to accomplish the work He has entrusted to us.

Every believer has a unique calling from God. Just as God empowered Peter and Paul for different ministries, He equips each of us for the work He has prepared. Our confidence should never rest in human approval but in the God who calls, empowers, and faithfully sustains us for His glory.
