This is probably the most famous verse in the Bible. Jesus said it to Nicodemus while explaining how to be "born again."

_God_ → The Creator Himself.
_so loved_ → The extent of His love is massive. Not just a little.
_the world_ → Not just Israel, not just good people. All of us.

*2. "that he gave his only begotten Son"*
God’s love wasn’t just words. He gave what was most precious to Him.
_only begotten Son_ = Jesus. Unique, one-of-a-kind.
The gift was Jesus coming to earth, living, dying, and rising again for us.

*3. "that whosoever believeth in him"*
The offer is for _whosoever_. No exceptions. Any race, background, past.
_believeth_ = trust, rely on, put faith in Jesus — not just know about Him.

*4. "should not perish, but have everlasting life"*
_not perish_ = not be separated from God forever. That’s the consequence of sin.
_everlasting life_ = life with God now, and forever. It starts the moment you believe.
