The command of the Lord of the universe, our Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer, is simple: Listen to His voice and obey His Word, and it will go well with you. This can be best understood in the relationship between a parent and child. The instructions of a loving parent are always for the good of the child, and a wise child will accept the teaching, correction, and rebuke without rebellion. Jesus, the Son of God, listened to the voice of the Heavenly Father, submitted Himself to His will, and walked the path of pain and suffering to fulfill God's redemptive plan for all mankind.
