From Knowledge to Revelation

Worldly knowledge gives us information, but knowledge gained in God’s presence gives us revelation.

Knowing about something is one thing; understanding God’s purpose behind it is another. Many may have knowledge of the Bible. But when the same Word speaks into our lives in God’s presence, it is no longer just knowledge—it becomes revelation.

Knowledge tells us “what”; revelation reveals “what God is doing through it.”

When Peter recognized Jesus as the Christ, that truth was not revealed to him by human knowledge, but by the Father in heaven (Matthew 16:15–17).

Knowledge may fill our minds, but revelation transforms our lives.

Knowledge sees the problem;
revelation sees God in the midst of the problem.

Knowledge sees the door;
revelation sees God’s purpose behind the door.

Therefore, don’t seek only information about God. Seek God’s presence. Because it is in His presence that the Word we know becomes a living revelation for our lives.

“Worldly knowledge gives you information, but knowledge gained in God’s presence gives you revelation.”
