Hello, I would like to share with you the message from 9 août 2026 from “The Good Seed” daily calendar.

O my God, do not take me away in the midst of my days. (Psalm 102:24)

The Lord Jesus felt deeply the knowledge that He was going to die as a young man. He prophetically expresses this distress in the today’s verse: “O my God, do not take me away in the midst of my days”! How painful it was for Him to have to die at the zenith of life.
Again in the Psalms, we read of the “midst of days”. In Psalm 55:23, we read: “Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days.” There were people back then who were taken from life early because they shed the blood of others. They did not reach half of the 70 years that Moses once stated as the usual life expectancy (Psalm 90:10).
Thus, Christ had to experience what the righteous God had prepared for people of violence and lies, for He died at the age of about 33 years. His life was shortened, although He had done only good to others and had spoken only the truth.
The Lord Jesus was willing to die as a young man because He wanted to accomplish the work of redemption on the cross and thus save us from divine judgment. Eternal thanks be to Him for giving His life for us!
However, Christ did not remain in the grave. Because He was perfect in His life and in His death, God raised Him from the dead. How we rejoice that He lives forever as the Risen One!

Today’s reading: Joshua 11:1-11 – 1 Corinthians 10:1-13
