I used to think I was guarding my heart, but looking back, I was actually guarding it with fear and past trauma instead of discernment. Fear builds walls to keep everything out; discernment sets boundaries while keeping the gate open to God's peace.
Today reminded me that I don’t have to carry the weight of self-defense on my own strength.
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." — Isaiah 41:10
