Proverbs 3:25 (KJV)

“Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.”

We never know what a day may bring. Bad news, unexpected problems, financial struggles, health concerns, or sudden changes can come without warning.

But God tells us not to live our lives constantly afraid of what might happen.

That doesn’t mean difficult things will never happen. It means we don’t have to allow fear to control us when they do.

God is not surprised by what surprises us.

When something unexpected happens, we can choose faith over fear and remember that God is still in control.

A simple way to remember this verse:

“Don’t spend today worrying about what might happen tomorrow. Trust God with what you cannot control.”

And the next verse tells us why we can have that confidence:

“For the LORD shall be thy confidence…” Proverbs 3:26 (KJV)
