“A heart filled with God’s Word will not be easily filled with the noise of the world.”
Our heart is never an empty space. It will always listen to something, receive something, and follow something. The question is—who is filling that space? God’s Word? Or the noise of the world?
Today, the world is constantly speaking to us—through people’s opinions, fear, comparison, desires, social pressures, and many other voices that try to fill our thoughts. But God’s Word does not speak only to our ears; it speaks deep into our hearts.
Psalm 119:11 — “I have hidden Your word in my heart.”
Simply reading God’s Word is not enough; we must hide it in our hearts. Because whatever we store most deeply in our hearts will eventually shape our thoughts, influence our decisions, and determine the direction of our lives.
When a room is filled with light, we do not have to fight the darkness to drive it out. When the light comes, the darkness simply disappears. In the same way, when our hearts are filled with God’s Word, even though the noise of the world may surround us, it cannot easily control our lives.
The noise of the world changes every day, but God’s Word never changes. Therefore, we must become people whose hearts are more attentive to what God says than to what the world says.
