Proof that you never know what you’re going to find when you read your Bible

“As a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down.”
2 Kings 21:13 KJV

Now, before anyone tells me this verse is about God’s judgment on Jerusalem, yes, I know! Context matters!

BUT…

If your husband ever tells you that doing the dishes is “woman’s work,” you can always smile sweetly, open your Bible to
2 Kings 21:13 and say:

“Well… interestingly enough, when the Bible describes someone wiping the dishes, it says it’s a MAN!”

I’m not saying that’s what the verse means…

I’m just saying it’s there.

Sometimes Bible study gives you deep revelation.

And sometimes it gives you ammunition for the kitchen.
