Sometimes, the only way to survive is to just "set our jaw" and keep going, trusting that God is with us and helping us, no matter how things look. This verse calls us to an active faith. Choosing joy through hope instead of despair, choosing patient endurance in times of trouble, and choosing faithfulness in prayer are all deliberate decisions. These choices flow from a deep trust that the God who raised Jesus from the dead is powerful enough to change our circumstances. He hears our cries and is ever-present, enabling us to persevere with spiritual strength.

Prayer
Create in me, O Mighty God, a firm and unwavering heart so that I can persevere joyfully through any challenge. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
