Read; Philippians 4:6-7

Anxiety does not have to rule the heart. Paul gives every worry somewhere to go: into prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving before God. We can make every request known because our Father is never irritated by our need or surprised by our trouble. Thanksgiving remembers who He has already shown Himself to be, and prayer places the burden into His faithful hands. Then His peace takes its post like a guard over our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. When anxious thoughts return, we can return them to the God whose peace is stronger and whose presence is near.

Prayer

Merciful God, I bring You the anxieties I cannot settle and the needs I cannot meet. Thank You for Your past faithfulness and for welcoming every honest request. As I pray, let Your peace take its post over my heart and mind. Guard me from panic and despair, keep me in Christ Jesus, and fill the places fear has occupied with the quiet strength of Your presence. I place every concern into Your faithful hands. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
