Opening Scriptures before the Message

Isaiah 55:11 New Life Blue So My Word which goes from My mouth will not return to Me empty. It will do what I want it to do, and will carry out My plan well.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All the Holy Writings are God-given and are made alive by Him. Man is helped when he is taught God's Word. It shows what is wrong. It changes the way of a man's life. It shows him how to be right with God.

It gives the man who belongs to God everything he needs to work well for him.

2 Peter 1:19-21 All this helps us know that what the early preachers said was true. You will do well to listen to what they have said. Their words are as lights that shine in a dark place. Listen until you understand what they have said. Then it will be like the morning light which takes away the darkness. And the Morning Star (Christ) will rise to shine in your hearts.

Understand this first: No part of the Holy Writings was ever made up by any man.

No part of the Holy Writings came long ago because of what man wanted to write. But holy men who belonged to God spoke what the Holy Spirit told them.

How to hear and understand the Gospel

The Lord Answers Job

Job 38:1-3 Then the Lord answered Job out of the string wind and said,

"Who is this that make words of wisdom dark by speaking without much learning"

Now get ready like a man, and I will ask you some questions and you answer Me.

Job 40:6-7 Then the Lord answered out of the storm, and said,

"Get ready like a man, I will ask you, and you answer Me.

Job 42:4-7 'Hear now, and I will speak. I will ask you, and you answer Me.'

I had heard of You only by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You.

So I hate the things that I have said. And I put dust and ashes on myself to show how sorry I am."

Job is Richer Now

After the Lord had spoken these words to Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "My anger burns against you and your two friends, because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.

Romans 10:14-17 But how can they call on Him if they have not put their trust in Him! And how can they put their trust in Him if they have not heard of Him! And how can they hear of Him unless someone tells them!

And how can someone tell them if he is not sent? The Holy Writings say, "The feet of those who bring the Good News are beautiful."

But they have not all listened to the Good News. Isaiah says, "Lord, who believed what we told them?"

So then, faith comes to us by hearing the Good News. And the Good News comes by someone preaching it.

Acts 26:17-18 I will keep you safe from the Jews and from the people who are not Jews. I am sending you to these people.

You are to open their eyes. You are to turn them from darkness to light. You are to turn them from the power of Satan to the power of God. In this way, they may have their sins forgiven. They may have what is given them, along with all those who are set apart for God by having faith in Me.'

Romans 15:4-7 Everything that was written in the Holy Writings long ago was written to teach us. By not giving up, God's Word gives us strength and hope.

Now the God Who helps you not to give up and gives you strength will help you think so you can please each other as Christ Jesus did.

Then all of you together can thank the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Good News is For the People Who are Not Jews

Receive each other as Christ received you. This will honor God.
