The Bible clearly teaches that demonic possession is real, not a myth, metaphor, or ancient superstition. Throughout the life and ministry of Jesus, we see Him encounter people who were controlled by evil spirits. Jesus did not dismiss these cases as imagination or simply explain them away—He spoke directly to demons, commanded them to leave, and they obeyed Him. The Gospels show that Satan and demons are real spiritual enemies, but they are not equal to God. Jesus has complete authority over them, showing that no power of darkness can stand against the power of Christ.
