When the world demands compromise, true Christian courage stands firm in the truth of the Incarnate Verbum. The LORD does not call us to a spirit of timidity, but to an unyielding fidelity to His Sacred Heart and His Holy Cross. As St. Athanasius of Alexandria famously declared when facing exile for defending the orthodox faith against the Arian heresy: "If the world is against truth, then I am against the world."
