OLD TESTAMENT
1 SAMUEL 7 — Samuel Leads Israel to Victory
NEW TESTAMENT
REVELATION 5 — The Lamb Who Is Worthy
MAJOR PROPHETS
ISAIAH 42 — The Servant of the Lord
TODAY'S REFLECTION
1 Samuel 7
Israel turns back to the Lord, removes its idols, and Samuel intercedes for the people. God gives them victory over the Philistines. This chapter reminds us that genuine revival begins with repentance, surrender, and returning wholeheartedly to God.
Revelation 5
John sees the heavenly throne and the Lamb, Jesus Christ, who alone is worthy to open the scroll. Heaven erupts in worship because Christ has redeemed people for God. Jesus is worthy of our complete worship and devotion.
Isaiah 42
Isaiah presents the Servant of the Lord, who will bring justice and light to the nations. God promises to lead His people and accomplish His purposes through His chosen Servant.
KEY VERSE
“Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, ‘Thus far the LORD has helped us.’”
— 1 Samuel 7:12
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing us this far. Help us continually turn away from anything that takes Your place in our hearts. May we recognize Jesus as the Lamb who is worthy of all honour and worship. Lead us in Your truth, strengthen our faith, and help us become a light to those around us. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
TODAY'S CHALLENGE
Look back and remember how far God has brought you. Give Him thanks, surrender anything that has taken His place, and trust Him for the journey ahead.
EBENEZER — THUS FAR THE LORD HAS HELPED US.
WE STUDY. WE PRAY. WE OBEY. WE GROW. UNTIL WE ARE TOTALLY TRANSFORMED.
