He kept what God had commanded him to destroy and then tried to justify his actions. This teaches us that partial obedience is still disobedience. Sometimes we want to give God our own version of obedience. We may pray, worship, give offerings, and serve in church, yet knowingly hold on to something God has told us to release. God is not looking only for religious activities. He desires a heart that listens and obeys His Word. When we disobey, let us not make excuses or blame others. Let us humble ourselves, acknowledge our wrong, and repent. Obedience may not always be easy, but it is always better than trying to replace obedience with religious sacrifice. 🔥 Don't obey God only when His instructions are convenient.
