CONSULT GOD BEFORE YOU ACT 📖 Judges 1:1-2 "After Joshua died, the Israelites inquired of the Lord, 'Who among us will go up first against the Canaanites to fight against them?' The Lord replied, 'Judah will go up; I have given the land into their hands.'" Joshua had just died. Israel faced a new chapter, with battles still to be fought. Instead of deciding on their own, the people consulted the Lord. God answered and gave them clear direction. Israel had known Joshua as their leader, but after his death, the people had to learn not to depend on a man instead of God. A new season requires a renewed dependence on God. Consulting God before acting means recognizing that He sees what we do not. Israel asked, "Who will go up?" God gave them more than just an answer; He also gave them assurance: “I have given the land into his hands.” When God gives you direction, He also prepares the way. Before making an important decision this month, take the time to seek God in prayer and in His Word. Don't rush into anything simply because a door seems open. First, seek the guidance of the One who knows the destination. May the Lord grant you the wisdom to consult Him before making any decision.
